WHAT TO EXPECT: This option is for groups or clubs that want to host an event at our pool location.

This option will allow you to bring a group of handlers and their dogs to our facility to train and practice. 

All groups/clubs must have proof of insurance and must name our location as insured. 

An ABK trainer/supervisor will be present during the event to be sure your group/club is following all of the safety and facility rules, however, ultimately the group/club will be responsible for enforcing the rules and ensuring the equipment is not damaged. This includes ensuring inexperienced dogs do not puncture the side of the pool liner.  

POTTY AREA & LEASH RULES: All dogs must remain on leash unless they are on the dock, so that they aren't eliminating in the training space. We train other dogs in that space and do not want to encourage them to mark over a spot a dog has already marked. Please only use the designated potty area, which is outside in front of the pool area gait, or inside the gait and immediately in the east side corner. All poo must be picked up. 

TRAINING AREA & POOL: We have 5 acres fenced in with a 6' chainlink fence. Our pool entrance (and where you and your club/group will enter) is the farm entrance to the east of our driveway. Please park in front of the pool entrance, in that farm driveway, to keep my home driveway open. 

We have a 21'x43' pool that is 52" deep. It is a saltwater pool. We have a regulation size, UKC approved dock pool and ramp. Our pool is partly built into the ground and so our dock is sitting on ground level making it much easier to access for those with disabilities. 

We have plenty of space for crating dogs and putting up pop up tents, inside of the fenced in area. 

We have a hose for rinsing off dogs and the water is well water and can be used for dogs to drink. 

We have a portapotty at the rear of the fenced in area

We also have our backyard bar area that you may use. It has a grill and space to place food or beverages on the bar top or in our cooler case (it is not refridgerated but works great for storage). 

we do not have elctric available.

WHAT TO BRING/NOT TO BRING: 

For dock rental we do not allow any treats on the dock or in the pool.

Be sure you plan for the weather. All of our rentals are rain or shine events, unless there is extreme unsafe weather like lightening or tornado etc. 

Please bring a high value toy approved for competition (no live or dead animals or parts, no food). 

ADDITIONAL RULES: 

No humans on the ramp

No humans in the pool (except the designated club member or 2 members that will be in charge of ensuring all inexperienced dogs stay away from sides of pool walls). 

A desginated pool monitor must be named and receive training in the morning before the event. That mintor will be responsible for ensure dogs do not puncture the pool lining. 

Use potty area only.

Pick up poop

Only one dog is to be worked on the dock/in the pool at a time

Only two humans (one holder and one thrower) allowed on the dock at a time

Please be sure dogs are recently groomed so as not to be dropping copias amounts of hair into the pool

No alcohol or drugs allowed
